Tom Ford Platinum Cream Color

DSC00371

Tom Ford’s makeup range is nothing short of covetable. Sleek packaging and luxe products combine in each product, meaning that although pricey, his pieces are usually investments.

The eyeshadow, although called Platinum is more of a soft taupe. The colour is perfect for day, needing only the tiniest dab to transform eyes from tired to bright and ready. Be warned though, use only a fingertip; my first, rather overenthusiastic application resulted in a smeary mess from lids to brows.

The formula of the shadow is dreamy – a smooth, satiny mousse which dries without loosing its sheen. I do have to wear it over Laura Mercier’s eye base (a complete hero product of mine) or it seems to disappear in a few hours. With the base however, this shadow has survived workouts and shopping sessions in tact.

Due to the minimal amounts I use of this I have a feeling that it will be a go-to product for a while, a good thing, as I adore the colour. The one niggle I have with this product however is the lid. The high-end, luxury feel of the pot is kind of ruined by the fact that the TF on the lid is on a sticker applied to the lid, which I feel slightly cheapens the overall feel.  This is a tiny issue however, and the shadow has become one of my must haves!

Tom Ford Cream Color Eyeshadow is priced at £29 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
