I’m not going to lie – I am such a flip flop snob.
I know it sounds wholly ridiculous, but for shoes which are made of such a little amount of material, I am exceptionally picky. I had been lusting after Tkees since they became popular last year, but was never able to find the nude ones in my size. So, when I hit EH I logged onto Shopbop.com and ordered two pairs – the Sunscreens (the darker tan, patent pair) and the Duos (the nude and white pair). When they duly arrived I was even more in love. The colours are super pretty and the leathers are soft and supple, not to mention a comfily padded sole. The success of the two pairs led me to my Foundation (the lighter, nude, matte pair) which I grabbed on a day out to New Canaan, CT. (If you’re in that neck of the woods, it was Shoes ‘N’ More which had an incredible selection of colours.)
These are such a step up from my regular Havianas (or, and please don’t judge, my Abercrombie and Fitch ones). The colours are designed to disappear into your skin, meaning these aren’t relegated to the beach or the nail salon, and the thin straps are flattering and elegant when worn. Most importantly, they are also ridiculously comfortable to wear! Now that my nude lust has been satiated I think I will grab a pair of the neons the next time I see them!
