For their Summer 2013 collection, Clarins have really pushed the boat out.
The compacts are things of beauty, and if you need proof, look no further than their Bronzing Compact. A large bronzer, it comes in a thick plastic compact, beautifully decorated with an Aztec-inspired sun. Seriously, photographs don’t do this justice.
The bronzer itself is decorated in Aztec patterns too! The main brick is composed of two matte shades of bronzer with an inner highlighter which provides a little sparkle. With my skin-tone (NW20) I can get to oompa-loompa or muddy super quick with bronzers – not so here. The soft powders give a healthy glow rather than a ‘tan.’ The texture is soft – the bronzer contains mineral rich pigments which mean as well as giving me a boost, my skin is evened out too. I love the size of the compact too – larger than examples from Nars, YSL or MAC, it’s almost the size of my hand, meaning that it is super easy to swirl a fluffy brush around. This is definitely a must-buy for the coming warmer weather!
The Bronzing Compact is priced at £30
