The Original Beauty Blender

DSC01131

I have heard wonderful things about the Beauty Blender Sponge for a while, and when I passed it in the Pharmacy, I couldn’t not grab one.Seriously – this has everything I love in a fad item – basically it looks cute and it’s pink. Am I shallow? Yes, but seriously – its cute looking!

It comes with an Allure magazine seal of approval too! So, can a little sponge really be worthy of all this hype?

Well, yes, the sponge is soft and light to the touch – quite smooth and springy. But, it is the shape which is ingenious – the pointed egg shape means that you can apply liquids and gels smoothly with the point allowing precise application. I have used this with my current fave foundation (Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup) and it makes my skin look airbrushed. I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy the sponge is to clean – after washing I just popped it back into the packing and it was good as new.

I bought mine for around $20 at White’s Pharmacy in East Hampton
