Nude nails are definitely having a moment.
I love the whole mannequin hands idea – they feel elegant, and I love the way I don’t have to factor in my mani colour into planning my outfits. With their Starkers Laquer Collection, Butter London have ramped up the nude look with what I would call an amplified nude. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that before these arrived I had never used Butter London polishes, and I was really pleased with the application and finishes of all three colours. When applied the colour was opaque and evened itself out easily. Two coats was enough for great coverage and all three dried to a high shine.
The above polish is Crumpet, and it’s probably my favorite of the three. It’s a cool toned nude with grey undertones. The closest comparison I can make is Chanel’s Frenzy.
Shandy is a warmer, pinker nude. It dries to an almost peach, and I love it as an easy way to sport the pastels trend. This is the polish I would say is closest to the mannequin hands idea for my skin tone, but it still reads a little peach.
Tea and Toast is the darkest of the trio, and obviously is intended for richer skin tones. The polish is a warm caramel, and even though it isn’t a nude for me, it looks incredible on a short manicure. This will also look perfect with a tan.
I just love the way that Butter London has created a range which really does cater to everyone. Just in time for the summer, this little trio is a perfect choice for chic manis and pedis throughout the season!
