So yesterday I went for a little bit of pre-sale shopping and ended up treating myself.
I should probably explain that before the big sales start (Xmas and Summer) what I love to do is take a couple of days and really trawl through the stores and decide on the pieces I want to snap up once those prices are slashed. For me it cuts any stress from sale shopping, and has really garnered me some bargains in the past.
Anyhoo, as I was going around, oohing and ahhhhing over the SS13 collections which in a week or so will be on sale, I hit the Miu Miu concession planning on checking out their glitter soled pumps. At the front was a table of their new AW13 collection – all nude and black and bows, and guess what? I fell in love. I have a pair of pumps which are identical to these except they are completely plain and are patent leather, and these little beauties have taken me everywhere from the offices of American Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia -I consider them something of a lucky shoe, and am always on the lookout for similar. So when this suede version was sitting there I just had to snap them up.
The heel is the perfect size for slipping on all day – they look great with a J. Crew Minnie Pant (something of a wardrobe staple) as well as skirts and dresses. I am just in love with the suede – it’s just so soft and pretty, but it really was the bow which sold them. I’m really so picky when it comes to adornments on shoes, but the flattened bow just looked so elegant – I couldn’t not get them. They quite remind me of the 2010 Louis Vuitton bow pumps which I was beyond obsessed by -so it’s really a win, win!
