Without any exaggeration, I have to credit Mr. Fekkai for me still having hair on my head.
Ok, that seems pretty extreme, but I should explain how I came to know (and worship, and adore) this hair mask. When I was in Dubai, my roots really needed done, so after asking around about the best place to go, I ended up at Toni and Guy in the Financial District. This was a far cry from my regular Oscar Blandi salon visits which are all fun and glamorous. Anyway, after sitting with bleach in my hair for around 3 hours, I couldn’t even run my fingers through my hair it was so dry and brittle. I hightailed it back to my apartment, broke down in tears, skyped my mother, then applied an entire bottle of Kerestase hair oil to my frazzled head. I should mention I am ridiculously picky about my hair, naturally it’s a dark mousey brown and wavy, but currently I am creamy blonde and straight; anyhoo, after washing it the next morning, my hair seemed even drier than before. I couldn’t even blow dry it without the fear it would crack off, so I threw it up in a bun and ran downstairs to Sephora to see what I could find to make my hair bearable. I bought one of everything which mentioned moisturizing, and this was the only product which even made a jot of difference. For 3 months I had to wear this mask, root to tip, for half an hour everyday purely to reconstruct any health left in my hair. Long story short, not only did this mask save my hair, it actually improved it too! Now I’m back to my regular colorist I just use this once or twice a week, and my hair becomes super soft, shiny and manageable.
The mask itself is thick and white, and smells wonderfully of vanilla. After shampooing with my regular Kerestase Bain Satin shampoo (number 2), I apply this to my ends and to the front layers of hair which get a little dry through styling, then leave on for 5-10 minutes. After rinsing, my hair feels so healthy, and when it’s all blow-dried and straightened (shh don’t tell my stylist) my hair has never looked healthier. Since using the mask regularly, both my colorist and stylist remarked on how healthy my hair has become. I have become such an advocate for the mask, and have pushed it to anyone who will listen to me, so, if like me in October, you are suffering from a hair disaster, find yourself a tub of this, slather it on, and know that your hair is going to look wonderful very, very soon!
This hair mask is AMAZiNG! It seriously transforms your hair with one use! Love it
