When I saw the promo shots of Estee Lauder’s promo for their new blushes – Cello Shots – I was bowled over.
The colours were bright, the packaging was new, and the promise of water-light blush seemed like it was just perfect for summer; and when this clever little bottle popped through the letter box, I was not disappointed. The packaging is unlike anything else offered by Estee Lauder – a gold cap and band, with the lower portion the colour of this magic little gel. Once the cap is off, there is a pump which dispenses the blush, but be warned – you don’t need an entire pump, maybe as little as 1/3 of a pump is more than enough!
The picture shows about a pump, and you can see how pretty the formula is – it definitely leans towards the neon, but once it is pressed into the skin, you are left with a pretty flush rather than any sort of bright stripe. I like to dispense the gel onto the back of my hand, then use my fingers to gently pat it onto the apples of my cheeks. The colour is definitely sheer, but it is super flattering, and looks like a perfectly natural flush – if you’re headed off on vacation this year, I would recommend investing in one of these – they would be just perfect with a tan. I have shown X-Pose Rose, a cool toned pink, verging on purple, and it really has become a bit of a go-to for my blush needs, I just adore the natural-looking colour, and it wears well too!
Cello Shots are available now and are priced at £24.00
