False lashes are definitely one of my guilty pleasures – my favorites are the singles which just open your eyes up, without looking like a small mammal has died on your face.
So when I was offered the chance to try on some brush-on falsies, I jumped at the chance – I’m not the biggest fan of all the glue and tweezering which is normally associated with the stick-on varieties, so being able to sweep on fluttery lashes sounded ideal.
Magnifibres are packaged like a regular mascara, complete with wand, although once you open up the tube, you see that instead of the regular black stuff, the wand is coated in tiny little fluffy fibers.
For maximum effect, all you have to do is apply your mascara as normal, while it’s still wet, brush on Magnifibres then allow to dry. After a minute or so, apply a secondary coat of your regular mascara, and if you want some extra drama, repeat the process. The whole application was super easy, and all of the white fibers completely vanished under a single coat of my usual Dior offering. I should probably say that, although the packaging states that you can gain 5mm in length to your lashes, I didn’t, what I gained most from the product was thickness, and a little disappointingly I did have issues with the fibers in my eyes. Whilst this isn’t an everyday product, it’s perfect for special outings and occasions, and the packaging is beyond convenient!
Magnifibres is priced at £21 and is available at www.magnifibres.com
