Look at what the Postman brought – a gorgeous little black box, full of goodies which I thought I would share.
Two of the most gorgeous pink polishes by the new nail laquer brand, Nailberry.
The brand has stemmed from the top London salon of the same name, and the range has an impressive number of colors – if you’re looking for brights, neutrals, darks or pinks, every whim is catered for. In addition to a rainbow of 30 shades, the polishes are 4 free, meaning you won’t find any toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl or camphor in the formulas. Not only are the colors beautiful, but I just adore the packaging – the chic glass bottles and black screw tops are just so elegant.
First up is Pink Me Up – a cotton candy pink which is just a shade brighter than a neutral nail. It only needs two coats to be completely opaque – impressive for such a light shade, and if you want a slighter brighter look, three is more than enough.
You can tell these polishes are formulated by a pro – the polishes apply evenly, and they dry super fast, and with a quick slick of topcoat you’re good to go.
Second is Cotton Candy, a beautiful pale pink which is perfect for everyday use. The colour is a clean, baby pink, and I am somewhat obsessed with it.
Again, I used three coats to just make sure I had completely opaque coverage, although two is probably enough.
Top is Candy Floss, bottom is Pink Me Up. Both are swatched with three coats.
These are two of the most beautiful pinks I’ve come across – the colors are clear, and they are perfect for looking chic and pulled together. The formulas are wonderful to work with (even for someone as clumsy as me) and the polishes dry quickly to a high shine. Nailberry is definitely a brand to watch, and I can’t wait to try more colours from the range!
The polishes are priced at £13.50 and are available at www.nailberry.co.uk as well as from the Kensington Salon.
