Earlier in the week I showed a sneak peak of the gorgeous Lady of the Manor Collection by Rococo Nail Apparel, so I’m now here armed with swatches.
This was my first chance to sample Rococo Nail Apparel varnishes, and I have to say, I’m very impressed. The formulas of the polishes were thick enough to apply easily and evenly without turning gloopy, and all polishes were completely opaque within 2 coats. Not only this, but for dark colors, they dried super fast, and had a good sheen, even without a topcoat. The collection really encompasses the feeling of autumn, and I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t fall completely in love with them!
First up is the eponymous Lady of the Manor. A warm toned red-orange with brown undertones, which looks super elegant on short rounded-off nails and as a pedi.
The color dries quite dark, and it really is a true winter-red.
Next up is Social Butterfly, this is probably the shade which looks the most different in real life than from the press release. I was expecting a light, candy pink, but this skews more towards a peach/apricot with grey undertones.
If you’re a fan of a neutral nail this is the perfect choice to amp it up a little. The grey undertones means this stops the shade looking too pastel, and it dries down to a darkened peach which looks perfect with warm-toned skin.
I think that Pony Club might just be my favourite of the bunch. A rich grey with lavender and taupe undertones, there really isn’t a colour in my stash quite like it.
When applied the formula is rich and creamy, and depending on the light, the purple and brown tones are more visible.
Bringing up the rear is Thompson Blue. A stunning cool toned blue with some grey undertones – I’m not going to lie – I am loving it!
This is just the perfect winter blue – it’s rich enough to look good under grey skies and clouds, and it looks divine as a manicure on short nails. It’s the perfect segway into the dark manicures I end up living it during winter months, although it’s not as predictable as my usual dark grays and blacks.
L-R Pony Club, Thompson Blue, Lady of the Manor, Social Butterfly. All shown with 2 coats.
Rococo have really provided a perfect Fall Collection with these colours – they are all super cream formulas, which apply like a dream, and the colours are rich and just perfect for heading into winter. I can’t imagine anyone who would fal head over heels for these. I have never tried the brand before this, but the high-quality of the formulas coupled with the chic colours means that I will definitely be checking out their offerings every time I pop into SpaceNK.
UPDATE
So I thought I would add the requested photos of the polishes in sunlight – the two shown are Social Butterfly (blue) and Pony Club (taupe). Enjoy!

I don’t have photos right now, but the next time I have my camera out I’ll definitely dig out the wheel. You can’t go wrong with either though – Pony Club is a gorgeous taupe/grey and Social Butterfly is a grey toned blue which is just gorge! xxx
