When I realized that I hadn’t ever tried anything from the cult beauty brand Liz Earle I knew I had to right the wrong sharpish. And in the spirit of this, I bring you three rather fun offerings from the brand.
First up is Eyebright, a lotion which claims to clean and brighten the delicate eye area. Like all products from the brand, it has naturally found active ingredients, and this product relies on witch hazel and aloe vera for their soothing properties.
For best results I applied the lotion, which feels more like a toner or micellar water in consistency, to cotton pads, laid the pads on my eyes, then lay back and relaxed for 10 minutes. The lotion really does feel cooling and soothing, and for maximum results, I like to soak pads in the lotion, put the pads over the curved side of tablespoons and freeze them. This is perfect for hot morning eyes or whenever they feel a little scratchy.
The Energising Body Wash was the next product I tried. This smells like no other shower gel I’ve tried – it’s very herbal based, and rose is the strongest note which comes through. It’s really complex, and it feels super luxurious to use. The formula is thick, and although it doesn’t lather as much as some regular shower gels right away, the natural foaming agents foam up as you add more water, and you’re left feeling super clean whith the scent just lingering on the skin.
As if the Body Wash wasn’t enough for a more-than-enjoyable shower experience, Liz Earle has an Energising Body Scrub, which is full of the same Damask Rose scent and essential oil goodness.
The formula is slightly runny, although the grains do leave you feeling silky smooth. When used after the wash, you feel completely squeaky clean, and ready to face the day!
After trialling the products, I can’t believe that I haven’t used them before. I just love the spa-like, essential oil scents as well as the high quality products, this is definitely I brand I’m going to look into more fully!
