So it’s the first of October today – completely crazy! I think I’ll join everyone else in the obligatory remarks on how fast the year is going.
Ok, so now onto the product – Bumble and Bumble’s Dryspun Finish Spray – a finishing product which is just perfect if you’re looking for your hair to be not-quite-perfect. The spray replaces what many people use dry shampoo for – that rolled out of bed, too sexy to care kind of a thing, and it works a treat.
On freshly washed and styled hair, I flip it over, spray this generously on the roots, and kind of massage it in (there is absolutely no residue). A quick spritz round the roots also gives a flattering amount of lift which holds all day. I first trialled it when I was working a full day volunteering in an auction house. I was running around, it was a little sweaty, but instead of the usual way my hair would react (limp but strangely fuzzy) my hair remained intact, and looked good enough for some casual drinks after. Since it’s designed to give an ‘airy’ texture, it does counteract shine, but if you’re like me, using it underneath means you’re left with gorgeous hair which is still shiny. My only complaint (and it’s a teeny one) is that it did make my hair quite tuggy, so when I was brushing it out at the end of the day I did have to slick some hair oil on to ease the tugs out.
The spray is priced at £21.50 and is available at www.bumbleandbumble.co.uk US readers can find it here
