Argentum Apothecary: La Potion Infinie*

I love finding products which are just different; potions which are completely different from anything else lining my beauty shelves. One of the most unusual products I’ve gotten my mitts on recently is La Potion Infinie, a do-all multi task lotion which might just knock a couple of products out of rotation.

Packages in a rather slick and mysterious black jar is the magic cream (it’s black to keep out light, keeping the cream fresh inside). The pot comes along side a card featuring one of twelve archetypes of Jungian psychologyI got a lion for courage – I loved the extra touch. I’ve never had anything like it with a beauty product, and it is now proudly displayed on my study notice board as a little reminder to be brave out in the world!

So onto ‘La Potion’ – it’s a light, almost lotion-like texture which sinks easily into the skin. After cleansing, I simply pat the cream into my skin and go. It’s the same at night too – I pat a little extra around my eyes as a substitute for eye cream. After I’ve applied, I can feel my skin tighten slightly due to the caffeine in the formula, and if you are worried about loose skin or wrinkles, this is a perfect way of looking well-hydrated and wide awake.

What’s amazing about the cream is it’s multi-use abilities – it’s a unisex product, and you can use it as a regular face cream, as an eye cream and even as a hydrating mask. The special ingredient in the cream is the antioxidant and anti-bacterial Silver Hydrosol which promotes skin cell regeneration, whilst DNA HP (which was developed by Nobel-winning scientists) hydrates skin. There is a gorgeously light scent which is a mix of patchouli, geranium with citrus notes which makes apply the cream even more enjoyable. Since I’ve been testing it out, my skin has definitely calmed down, and is super balanced, with no breakouts or oilyness. I also love the fact that 99.5% of the cream’s ingredients are natural, not to mention it’s been developed by proper Nobel scientists!

The cream is priced at £147 and is available here.

Wow sounds amazing. So you’ve used no other day or night cream while you’ve been using it?

It’s a really lovely product – when I was trying it no eye cream, no serum, no day cream 🙂 xxx
