Christian Louboutin Geo Pumps

There are some purchases which just have to be made. These pumps were one of those times.

If you’ve seen my twitter (I’m @laurendall if you’re interested), it probably won’t be a surprise that I like a little red-sole action, but that’s a whole ‘nother blog post. But when I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago, I saw these Geo pumps, and I’m not really sure what happened – my card was in that little machine before I knew it, and I was the proud owner of them.

I’m the owner of a few pairs of loubs – I have a pair of black ballerinas which I’ve worn constantly for the past, maybe three years, and the rest are all ‘special’ shoes. When I was out and about, I was actually looking for something a little more work-appropriate, but instead I threw caution to the wind and bought these instead. What I love about them is that they are completely different from any other shoe I own. Instead of being my preferred kid or patent leathers, these are a gorgeously soft grey cashmere flannel, and the toes are covered in black suede and dotted with studs. I like the fact that these aren’t spiky all over – those Pigalle’s are a little too ‘Kardashian’ for me (plus I think they look a little like hedgehogs), but the spiked toes are just bad-ass enough for someone who dresses as simply as I do. I also love the contrast between the red soles and the grey. Sometimes I think Louboutins can be too flashy, but the kick of colour with these is really pretty! Since they are so high (100mm) I’m all about dressing them down a little, and so far I’ve worn them with black skinny jeans and a black cashmere sweatshirt.

The Geos were priced at £440
