One of my absolute, holy-grail, always in my stash cleansers is the much-lauded Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I’m not the only one who’s obsessed with it – the cleanser has won an incredible beauty awards for being an all-round genius product!
If you’re contemplating trying the cleanser (and seriously, you should!) I would hightail it to the Liz Earle website. To celebrate their incredible achievement, they are selling a full sized bottle of the cleanser, as well as two of their muslin cloths for a tiny £9.50! Considering that it normally retails for £14.75, it’s a good saving! (Not to mention you get a pretty box)
I’m completely obsessed with the cleanser, it’s one of those products which feels like a spa treatment in a bottle. After dampening my skin, I massage a pump or two into my face, neck and décolletage and leave it for a minute or two.
It smells absolutely divine – the eucalyptus oil is definitely the strongest note, but it isn’t overbearing or ‘too much.’ Instead it just feels very calming and refreshing. The cleanser doesn’t foam, so I then rub it into the skin, and my makeup completely melts away. Despite being gentle enough to use on sensitive skin, the cleanser even works its magic on eye makeup!
After a few minutes, and a little facial massage, I run one of the muslins under hot water, wring it out, then use it as I would a normal flannel. The muslin works as a gentle exfoliator, and it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean, rather than stripped or dry. Whenever I’m suffering from a breakout, hormonal or otherwise, all I need to do is crack out my trusty Liz Earle and within a day or two, my skin is crystal-clear!
