Lipstick Queen are really upping their game with their new Vesuvius Liquid Lipsticks. Perfect for summer, they straddle the lipstick/lip gloss line.
I’m absolutely in love with the packaging – the chic, shiny black tube opens into a brush applicator. The glosses come up through the brush, allowing for precise application on the go – genius!
Two of the colors which really appealed to me were Blush – described as a smoldering natural peach, and Bare – described as a Shimmering Gold-Nude. For me, I figured these would be colors I could reach for all summer – Bare for easy, natural looks, and Blush for when I’m looking to step it up a notch.
First up is Bare – this is the most beautiful Champagne gloss. I only needed a couple of clicks until the colour was on the brush, and it was super easy to apply. The formula feels rich and nourishing like a balm, and it has the perfect amount of sheen. The gloss has multi-dimensional sparkles which glitter in the light, and it’s a great choice to top nude-toned or matte lipsticks if you fancy a little switch-up in your look.
Blush is a gorgeous amplified nude, which is definitely in my-lips-but-better category. Again, application was flawless, even with the extra pigment, and one click of gloss was enough for my application. Once on, it’s a great choice for days when I want to look natural, but a little more polished.
Both glosses have a fresh minty scent which isn’t too overpowering, and they last a good few hours once on.
You can choose from 6 colors, and they are priced £22.00 each. You can find them here (UK) or here (US)
