To be completely honest, I had never used a micellar water until I started blogging. I’m very much of the keep-it-simple camp. I have sensitive skin, so if I faff around too much, it’s easy for it to react with blemishes or dryness. Up until about a year ago I just used a foaming cleanser and eye makeup remover and then patted on a little moisturizer. What I didn’t realize was, that despite my best intentions, a quick wash just isn’t enough to fully cleanse my skin after a day spent out and about. That’s why I’ve been using Filorga’s new Micellaire Water which launched this month. It’s a monster of a bottle – a giant 400ml, which means it’s incredible value for money.
To use it, all I have to do is cleanse my face as normal, then dampen a few cotton pads with the micellaire water. It feels beautifully cooling and calming on the skin, and I sweep the pads over my face until the pads come away looking completely clean. The formula inhibits bacteria growth, which is a great way to reduce inflammation in the skin. The formula is also super hydrating, meaning I don’t feel stripped after using it.
The Micellaire Water costs £20 and is available from Marks & Spencer
