The balmy weather of last week seems like a world away now. Cloudless blue skies and gentle breezes have been replaced with torrential downpours and unending grey. So, in an effort to weather the storm I’ve been holed up with a great book (Donna Tartt’s The Little Friend) whilst my Laduree Rose Geranium Candle delicately scents the room.
Like anything produced by them, Laduree’s candle comes in the most beautiful of boxes: each side is a soft, sugar almond colour, whilst the titled is engraved in gold, in cursive. If you’re looking for a great gift, this is it!
Once you open the jewel box, you come face-to-face with the most elegant of candles. Like all from Laduree, it is housed in a dusky pink biscuit china tumbler, which I will definitely be reusing once I’ve burned my way through (which should take an incredible 55 hours!) I love the white medallion which has the cutest little cherub as well as the Laduree logo – it’s a lovely slice of Parisian chic!
The candle itself is divine. Regularly, I’m not the biggest fan of geranium, but this candle has completely changed my mind. The geranium feels beautifully light, whilst the rose comes through as a deeper note, anchoring the fragrance and making it feel like such a treat to burn. The candle fills the whole house with the glorious, light floral scent. Although I’m hunkering out of the rain, Laduree’s candle is the next best thing to enjoying macaroons in their beautiful locations.
The candle is priced at €56.00 and is available here.
