One of my favourite parts of Jane Iredale’s new City Nights Collection are the gorgeous Jelly Jar Eyeliners.
Packaged in pleasingly chunky glass jars with rather chic gold lids, the liners are a perfect choice if you’re looking to update your fall smoky eye look. I got Purple and Green to try out, and I’m just in love with them!
Green is a gloriously shimmy khaki, with a silky smooth formula. The colour payoff is great – I dip my liner brush into the pot, and it gives me a subtle hint of colour, which is appropriate for day and gives the perfect amount of definition. The colour is super flattering, and I’ve been known to brush a little over my eyelid as a shadow substitute. When I do this is gives an even wash of smooth colour which stays shimmery all day!
Purple feels more like a night-time option for me. When I use it to line my upper lashes, the colour is absolutely incredible! It doesn’t feel too showy or ostentatious, instead it just provides gorgeous definition. Bonus, it makes my eyes look wide awake and super white!
