Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Eye Pencil*

I have to admit to being something of an eyeliner snob. I’ve tried hundreds, and the ones which work best for me are pencils with a creamy formula which easily applies colour into my waterline then doesn’t budge. Thankfully, Eye of Horus’s Scarab Sapphire Goddess Eye Pencil falls squarely into my ‘love’ category.

The double ended pencil feels lovely in the hand – it’s smooth and nicely weighted. The pencil end is a complete dream to work with – on a daily basis I like a quick swipe in my upper waterline, and this manages to define my eyes without looking too dramatic. The other end has a soft, spongey blender which means creating a smokey eye is ridiculously easy!

I’m completely obsessed with the colour – Sapphire Blue is a cool toned purple based blue which really does look jewel-like. When I’m after a natural look, I simply swipe the pencil and go – it gives enough natural looking definition that I don’t even need mascara! If I’m looking for a slightly more formal look, I pass the pencil over my waterline a couple of times to intensify the colour and then use my Estee Lauder palette (see here) for a modern take on blue shadow. It feels like a softer way to wear a more dramatic look, and the blue pencil works wonders at making my eyes look wide awake!

The pencil costs £17.00 and is available here.
