Jurlique Glow Calendula Gift Set*

Jurlique Glow Calendula Gift Set

I started using Jurlique’s Calendula Cream when I was little as my skin got so sensitive and dry that I needed something that would moisturise it without any sort of irritant. I remember how important I felt that I had my own bottle of ‘grown up’ skin care, and it’s a bit of a joke in the family that it’s where my obsession with all things beauty comes from.

I’ve only ever used the Soothing Moisturising Cream and the Calming Mist, so when I saw that Jurlique were releasing a Christmas gift box with three of the best products from the Calendula line I just had to try it! The box comes in a stunning red sleeve which shows you what’s inside, and when you slip it off there is the most gorgeous Jurlique gift box decorated with a star made from flowers.

Jurlique Glow Calendula Gift Set-3

Inside you find a 40ml tube of Calendula Soothing Moisturising Cream, 100ml bottle of Calendula Calming Mist and 30ml of Calendula Restorative Treatment Serum. Basically, if you have sensitive skin which gets easily irritated, inflamed, dry or if you suffer from redness, you need to treat yourself!

I love how generously sized all three of the products are, and that it’s a whole skincare regime! After cleansing I pat a little of the Restorative Treatment Serum into my skin and allow it to sink in. I follow that with the Soothing Moisturising Cream, and then I use the Calming Mist throughout the day. The mist is also a lifesaver if you need to look human after an intense gym session – a couple of sprays and the redness just vanishes!

The Soothing Moisturising Cream is water based, so even though it feels super rich and luxurious to use, it sinks into the skin effortlessly without any horrible stickiness. The formula contains jojoba, avocado, calendula, chamomile, cucumber and shea which all work to infuse moisture and protect skin from dryness and irritation as well as to promote soothing and healing.

The Restorative Treatment Serum is incredibly lightweight, and it really works to deliver moisture to the deepest layers of skin. A pump or two is all I need in the morning, and I just press it in, making sure to focus on any areas which feel particularly dry, tight or irritated.

Jurlique Glow Calendula Gift Set-8

The Calming Mist is the most amazing multi-tasker! Like I said, it’s a great (and incredibly luxurious feeling) way to calm and cool skin when you’re post-gym. When I’m indoors during the winter, having the heating cranked up can also dry out my skin, so a couple of spritzes of the mist whenever my skin feels a little tight or dry really infuses moisture, and it also works to refresh your makeup too! If my skin is feeling particularly dry or itching, I pop the mist into the fridge – having a cooling couple of minutes makes such a difference if you’re feeling stressed! The mist is also a surprising beach bag must – when I lived in Dubai, I always kept a bottle of this handy when I was in the sun, as the air was always to dry it was such a relief to have an instant moisture fix.

The Jurlique Glow Calendula Gift Set costs £78.00 and seems to be sold out on their website. You can buy the individual items here.
