ESPA is one of those brands which I just think is the height of luxury. Whenever I use one of their products, I feel like I could be in a luxurious spa, rather than just in my own bathroom.
Since the festive period can be a little stressful, and since I want to get a head start on my New Years Resolutions, I chose the Luxury Body Collection, a gift box which contains everything you need for silky soft and healthy skin.
Since the postman popped round with the parcel, I’ve been using the Skin Brush. The bristles are made from Mexican cactus plants, and even though they are very stiff, they don’t feel too rough on skin. The Skin Brush is incredible for banishing dry skin and cellulite – prior to showering, I start at my feet, using long upwards brushstrokes. All the action really smoothes skin and helps with circulation, meaning your skin starts to naturally glow. I’ve also found a little extra dry brushing is great if I’m doing things like a juice cleanse – it just seems to jump start my body!
Once I’ve dry brushed all over, I hop into the shower with the ESPA Body Smoothing Shower Gel. I absolutely adore the scent – it’s a fresh slightly citrusy herbal, which is jus the most refreshing way to kick start my mornings. I love to use a little on a shower puff, and it transforms into a rich lather which smells just heavenly!
Dry skin doesn’t stand a chance in the face of the ESPA Smooth and Firm Body Butter. It’s the richest, most luxurious body butter, which despite feeling super thick, completely melts into the skin. The scent of the body butter is the same fresh herbal with a citrus edge as the shower gel, so it’s the perfect choice for mornings.
I’m more than a little obsessed with the Body Butter – I keep it at my desk during the day to use it as a rich hand cream, as well as using it in the mornings and evenings. The texture feels so sumptuous to use – it’s a gorgeous treat for dry winter skin.
The final goody in the Luxury Body Collection is ESPA’s amazing Optimal Body TriSerum. I’ve been reading about this in all the glossy magazines, so I was super excited to try it! The TriSerum works to even skin tone, suffuse it with radiance and boost collagen and elastane. Basically, it’s great skin in a bottle. Since this is quite a small 100ml bottle, I keep it for the areas that really need it – mostly the tops of my arms, elbows and décolletage. The formula’s texture is like a thick oil and it just melts into skin. If I’m going out, I also like to give my legs and arms a quick slick of the TriSerum – as well as moisturising them, it gives my skin a perfect glow with a hint of gorgeous herbal scent!
The Luxury Body Collection is on sale now for £55.00 and is available here.
