If one of your resolutions this year was to take better care of your hair, you just have to try Aveda’s Intensive Restructuring Treatment. It’s part of the brand’s Damage Remedy line of haircare, and I’ve been using it pretty religiously over the past few weeks.
Since my hair is highlighted regularly, and I blow it dry and straighten it far more than I should, I’m always looking for ways to keep it as healthy and shiny as possible. The Damage Remedy collection uses pure plant oils and quinoa protein to restore life back into ends, and it includes a daily shampoo and conditioner (reviews to come) as well as this treatment which I use weekly.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve switched to an almost entirely Aveda hair care regime. Most days I use the Shampure shampoo or the Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner, and once or twice a week, depending on how my hair is feeling, I use the Intensive Restructuring Treatment. Packaged in an incredibly shower-friendly squeeze tube, after shampooing, I use a generous dollop, and apply to everything under my ears. I then leave it for a good 10-15 minutes to let it get to work. Unlike a lot of hair treatments I’ve tried, Aveda’s Intensive Restructuring Treatment doesn’t feel heavy or sticky to apply, instead, it just feels like a regular weight conditioner. When I rinse it out, my hair immediately feels super smooth, and its so easy to blow dry. It’s not tuggy or knotty, it just feels so soft and smooth! I’ve become completely addicted to the treatment – my hair has been feeling so healthy since I’ve been using it. Even a few days, and washes after use, my hair still feels super healthy!
Aveda’s Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment costs £29.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
