Glossybox January 2015

Glossbox UK January 2015

For the first Glossybox of 2015 (it still feels weird typing that!) there is a really interesting mix of products from a range of brands that I’ve mostly never heard of. Bonus – every single product in the box is full size – such a generous start to the year!

The products in this month’s box are mostly makeup over skincare, and they are a nice mix of stash staples – blush, lip balm, eye liner, highlighters and a toner. The box is themed as a ‘fresh start’ so the colours are all super flattering and wearable.

Kueshi’s bottle of Pure&Clean toner is the product which caught my eye first – how couldn’t it!? The bright pink formula looks adorable, and it has a fresh, fruity scent which I’m really excited to try. I’ve only recently started using toners on a daily basis, so this will definitely come in handy!

The Naked Lips Organic Lip Balm in Superfruits couldn’t have come at a better time! As I type this, there are not unlike blizzard conditions outside, and my lips have been super dry for the past couple of weeks. The balm feels lovely to apply – very thick and nourishing, and there is quite a strong berry scent. The balm is 100% natural so if you’re trying to cut down on chemicals in the New Year, it’s definitely a brand to check out!

The Me Me Me Eye Liner pencil in Clay is a great stash staple. I tend to keep makeup bags dotted around my house/car/gym bag so I like to have a couple of good staple products to use.

The pencil has a lovely creamy formula, and the colour payoff is fab. I love the cool tone brown colour which is just perfect for more casual makeup looks.

The Nicka K New York Colorluxe Powder Blush is an absolutely adorable product. The blush is applied through an attached sponge, so this is definitely something new.

Glossbox UK January 2015-10

I’ve never tried a product like this before, so as you can imagine, I’ve spent quite a while perfecting my application techniques. The sponge gives a soft wash of beautiful rosy pink which is perfect if you’re looking for a bit of a Spring update.

Glossbox UK January 2015-6

Last but not least is Jelly Pong Pong’s All Over Glow highlighter. I’m sure I’ve used Jelly Pong Pong lip glosses etc in the past, so I was super excited to try the highlighter.

Glossbox UK January 2015-7

The colour doesn’t look unlike Benefit’s High Beam, as it’s a beautiful shell pink shimmer. You only need the teeniest dot of formula on either cheek to get great results. I think personally, this is more of an evening product – there is definitely a hint of sparkle so I think it would also be incredibly pretty as a sheer eye colour too!

I was super happy with this month’s box – for more info on Glossybox head here – link

Pretty impressed that it’s all stuff I’ve never used and some brands I’ve never heard of, but one blogger also said that you can’t even repurchase the items. Either cause they don’t do them anymore or we can’t get them in the UK, bit disappointing especially if you love something. Other then that very happy with products!

Oh no! That’s such a pity. If there is something you have to have try ebay – it’s the only place I can find my beloved Frederik Fekkai conditioner 🙂 xxx
