Ok, so you might be wondering why I’m recommending the rather saucily named Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm in the run up to Valentines. Don’t worry, I’m not turning into a mommy-blogger! The Nipple Balm is one of the most intensive lip balms I’ve come across! And considering I have at least 3 within reaching distance at any one time – that’s saying something!
Dr Lipp originally formulated the balm for new nursing mothers, but it’s become something of a cult item. I love the fact that it’s such a pure formula – it’s 100% medical grade lanolin which has been proven to reduce rough skin by 40% in only an hour!
The formula of the balm is incredibly rich and thick, and since it’s pure lanolin, is gets quite solid rather easily. I left mine in my car overnight, and it was like a brick when I tried to use it in the morning! Now, I keep it in my bedside table so it’s always toasty! Since the balm is so rich, I tend to use it at night to keep my lips and cuticles moisturised, but you can also use it if you’re looking for a dewy complexion. For best results, I apply after my tinted moisturiser and pat a little amount on my brow bones and cheekbones.
Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm is priced at £11.50 and is available here.
