Some Closet Inspiration

At the moment I’m in the middle of some serious home renovations. Paint samples are dotting the walls, and I’ve been oohing and ahhing over tile samples for way too long!

Before we even got started though, there was one area of the house which I knew¬†exactly what I wanted – my wardrobe. Thankfully I have quite a large built in wardrobe that blends into the wall. It’s got wooden doors which open out, and it is pretty deep, complete with a few shelves for my numerous bags and shoes.

To make it feel more like one of those walk-ins I regularly drool over I had the idea to install a couple of lights, so it makes it so much easier to decide what I want to wear in the morning.

I can’t tell you how much of a difference a couple of LED bulbs make. I can see exactly where everything is, and it feels almost like a little corner of a boutique. So that everything feels organised and all a bit special, I got our electrician to install lights both in the top portion, and under the shelf.

It means that I don’t have neglected dusty corners anymore, and I know exactly whats hanging up! To finish my luxe makeover I had new carpet installed, and I also had the walls painted a beautiful vanilla shade. You can find similar lights to the ones I used (and basically any lighting idea you can imagine) right here.
