Urban Decay Afterglow Blush – Bang*

Urban Decay Afterglow Blush

For the past few days we’ve been enjoying some really incredible sunshine in Edinburgh. It’s not been warm, but it’s beautifully bright and I’ve been feeling like summer is just around the corner. So, to celebrate, I thought I should introduce some colour into my rather neutral makeup palette!

The pop of colour came courtesy of Urban Decay’s brand new line of powder blush – Afterglow, in the rather gorgeous shade ‘Bang.’ Urban Decay describe the blushes as giving ‘a sexy, lit from within glow.’ And quite frankly, I couldn’t agree more!

In the pan, Ban looks like a bright, orange toned red (photos aren’t quite doing it justice!) which almost seems to verge on neon. Seriously, this is pretty vivid, but it’s also one of those products you want to try on as fast as possible!

To keep the shade wearable for my light skin tone, I need to use a very light hand. My brush barely touched the blush when I was using it, but it gave a lovely sheer wash of bright colour that made look wide awake and fresh faced. If you have a deeper skin tone, I think Bang is going to be amazing for you – the colour is incredibly easy to build up, and it never looks powdery or cakey! Urban Decay claim that Afterglow Blush has 8 hours of wear, but even after a busy day without touching up, I still could see a gentle kiss of colour. I also can’t wait to wear this with a tan – it’s just so pretty!

Urban Decay’s Afterglow blush are priced at £19.00 and are available here.
