When I got a sneak peek at Pinghe’s gorgeous AW15 collection, I have to admit, I got a bit excited. The collection feels so slick, streamlined and modern I just had to share it with you. The collection is pretty much everything I adore – the clean lines and neutral palette just screams modern classic, and I can’t tell you how much I want to try on everything!
The whole collection is inspired by the artwork of Kazimir Malevich, who specialised in geometric abstract art, and you can really see the nods to his work in the sharpness of line in the pieces. Pinghe have also reflected his work in the ethos of ‘no matter the angle, the beauty does not change,’ This means that real attention to detail has been paid to the back and sides of the garments, which come adorned with the most divine ruffles and embroidery.
Although from a distance, a lot of the pieces look quite minimalist in design, when you get up close and personal with them, Pinghe’s iconic embroidery detailing becomes the star. The garments have been adorned to really complement the wearer’s shape in the most flattering of ways.
I absolutely adore how much thought have been put into the garments – they’re really a work of art unto themselves. All the garments are constructed out of LTF1 fabric, a signature of Pinghe, so that the architectural detailing really shines. The fabric doesn’t crease, so the pieces are always going to look great.
As you can tell, I’m more than a little in love with the collection! If you are too, Pinghe is stocked at Fenwick’s London and Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge. You can also find the designs here.
