Before I launch into my diatribe about how awesome the new(ish) Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup is (and it really is!) I feel I should apologise for my absence over the past couple of days. I ended up staying with friends longer than anticipated, so my queued posts puttered out, and I’ve only just had a minute to sit down and actually type! So, oops aside, I wanted to share the greatness which is Urban Decay’s Naked Liquid Foundation.
Available in a range of 18 shades which encompass light, dark, cool and warm skin tones, Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup is basically everything you could wish for in a base. Since I’m an NW20 skin tone, I opted for 0.5 which is the lightest shade in the range and falls as a cool tone (shades ending in .5 are cool, whilst full numbers are warm). This wide variety means that most people are going to find a perfect match for their skin, although those who are super pale might struggle a little.
The texture of the formula is silky smooth, and Naked Skin completely disappears into skin, making it look naturally perfect. Since I don’t like my foundations too heavy, I blend two pumps of the foundation whilst my foundation hasn’t completely sunk in to give a lovely dewy finish. The wear-time for the foundation is really great – after application, I easily get 10+ hours of wear before I need to touch up, and there isn’t any drying, caking or oxidising. As well as creating the perfect canvas for the rest of your makeup look, Urban Decay have included some serious skincare in the formula including Litchiderm to the skin from dehydration, oxidative stress and accelerated ageing, Green Tea & Vitamin E to neutralize free-radicals and promote collagen production, as well as Sodium Hyaluronate which holds and attracts water for optimal hydration, circulation and nutrient absorption. The foundation has obviously been really well thought out – it doesn’t only look good, but it’s also great for your skin too – win win!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup is priced at £27.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
