Now that we’re squarely in the middle of December, I feel like I’ve not seen the sun in such a long time. It’s so dark, and so cold, I’ve really been looking for a little escape from the gloom, so when Connock London’s signature Eau de Parfum arrived, I got rather excited.
Even though Connock is a very British company, their signature scent, Kakui, takes it’s inspiration from the Hawaiian Islands. Described as an ‘elegant floriental,’ Kakui is one of those fragrances which makes you feel incredibly elegant.
The top notes of the Eau de Parfum include Bergamot and Lily, which give the fragrance a wonderful fresh floral edge. As the perfume warms up on the skin, it becomes deeper and richer, with notes of Gardenia and Calla Lilly. It’s an incredibly rich scent, and when I’ve worn it out with friends, they’ve all commented on how much they love it!
The base notes include Tonka Bean and Vanilla Absolute, which give the fragrance a earth and the subtlest touch of sweetness. It’s such a well balanced fragrance, it’s a real treat to use!
Connock London’s Kukai Eau de Parfum is priced at £75.00 and is available here.
