I know I bleat on rather a lot about how much I abuse my hair, but it’s probably one of my worst habits. I can’t get away from heat styling or colouring, so instead, I’m left trying to fix whatever damage I’ve done.
I’ve been a massive fan of Fekkai haircare for years now. I can honestly say it saved my poor, frazzled ends from an ill-advised hair appointment in Dubai, and I’ve had a tub of the PRX mask in the shower ever since. I’ve reviewed it here, and if you’re looking for a miracle treatment, you have to try it!
Unfortunately though, Fekkai has been getting increasingly hard to get hold of in the UK over the past couple of years. Before I used to grab it in Space NK, but for some reason the discontinued the line, leaving me to scrabble about on amazon to try and find the stuff. So, a few weeks ago, it’s fair to say I got rather panicky when I couldn’t find my usual mask, and in a bit of a blur I ordered the Essential Shea mask instead.
At first I was a little worried that it would be too rich for my hair, but it’s an absolute dream! Scented with jasmine and exotic florals, I feel like I should be using it somewhere in Tahiti rather than in Scotland. The mask has a soft, creamy consistency which just melts into hair. I leave it on for a good 10-15 minutes while I get on with the rest of my shower, then hose it off as normal. Ends are left incredibly soft and shiny, and it works it’s magic without weighing hair down!
Since I can only really find Fekkai products, the prices do tend to vary quite dramatically according to the day, but you can find it here (UK) and here (US)
Great review! That’s too bad its hard to find this brand in the UK. I often see it sold in the drugstore here. xo J

Yay thank you so much! I’m so jealous – I always raid target and the nearest drugstores whenever I’m in the US! 😘😘
