I’m not going to lie, I’ve developed something of an expensive taste when it comes to beauty products. Don’t get me wrong, there are some drugstore favourites which I couldn’t live without, but sometimes you just need to treat yourself. One of my absolute-favourite sites to stock up on my luxury favourites is Notino.co.uk, which you might have known previously at Beauty Spin.
Notino have all of the luxury brands you can imagine – Chanel, Dior, Sisley, they’re all there, and you can save serious money too! Some of my favourite brands have 60-70% off RRP! So, to celebrate the site’s new name, I was very kindly treated to two of my favourite lip balms (perfect for beating winter’s happen lips) Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Nourishing Care for Lips, and Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair.
Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Nourishing Care for Lips has to be one of the most glamorous balms out there. Packaged in a ceramic tub, complete with black logo-d lid, this is the balm I slip into my handbag when I know I’m heading somewhere nice. As much as I love the packaging, the balm itself is even better. A rich formula which looks glossy on the lips, Chanel’s Hydra Care makes lips look full, and feel silky smooth.
For days when my lips are in need of some serious attention, I’ve been loving using Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Balm. I’m a fan of the Eight Hour Cream range anyway, but honestly, this balm works absolute miracles. Thanks to the cold weather, my lips feel chapped within an hour or so of being out an about, but a quick coating of this balm leaves them feeling silky smooth and seriously hydrated. Honestly, it’s a miraculous little tub!
Chanel Hydra Beauty Balm is priced at £27.50 and Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Lip Balm is priced at £10.60 and they are both available here
