If you’ve come anywhere close to a Youtube beauty video in the past year or so, chances are you’ve come across a new powder technique called ‘baking.’ It promises to highlight the under-eye area and set makeup without looking cake-y, so when I found out that Rodial had released a brand new powder designed specifically to bake, I had to check it out!

Like all of Rodial’s products, the Baking Powder is absolutely stunning. It’s a dinky little tub, but comes with sleek black lid emblazoned with Rodial’s R, and it slots easily into my makeup bag. Rodial have even launched a special Baking Brush to ensure an even application, but if you’re not looking to splash out, all you need is a clean beauty blender-esque sponge and a big, fluffy brush.

After applying my under eye concealer, using a clean sponge, I tap a little of the Baking Powder to my under eye area, then leave it to set for 15-20 minutes. The heat from your skin causes the powder to blend seamlessly with the concealer, creating a perfected suede-smooth look which lasts all day. Once the time is up, I just sweep off the excess, and blend with a little bronzer. It creates such a wonderful, perfected look which is perfect if you’re looking for makeup which will look fresh all evening.

Rodial Baking Powder is priced at £29 and is available here
