For the most part, I’m lucky to have skin which is pretty decent most of the time. Apart from the odd breakout (usually hormonal) I tend to need to look after moisture levels rather than spots. But I do like to apply a cleansing mask once a week, just to keep my skin feeling as clean and fresh as possible. The newest addition to my regime has been Goldfaden MD’s Facial Detox, a mask which promises to clarify and clear skin.
Packaged in a dinky white tub, Facial Detox is one of those products you feel working. A stunning light green colour, with the loveliest whipped texture, I apply a light layer all over my face after cleansing (usually on a Sunday evening), and let it get to work. The mask itself contains Zinc Oxide, Sulphur and Camphor to really minimize pores, eliminate blackheads and fight redness.
Thanks to the Camphor in the formula, I absolutely love the fresh scent! Once I put it on, I leave it to dry, which usually takes 10-15 minutes, then wash it all off with a hot flannel. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using it, and the mask, and not at all dried or stressed like it can with other, typically cleansing masks.
What’s also great about the mask is that I can also target my use of the mask throughout the week, by just popping a little on my nose or forehead and letting it get to work.
Goldfaden MD’s Facial Detox is priced at £58 and is available from Panache Cosmetics here.
