So, this weekend it really felt like spring finally arrived. The sunshine was glorious, the temperatures balmy, and I got the sudden urge to return to the glowy, bronzy makeup of summer. But, beautiful light makeup needs skin to look flawless, so in an attempt to hydrate my skin and up the glow factor, I’ve been adding Clarins’ new Hydra-Essentiel Intensive Moisture Quenching Bi-Phase Serum to my skincare regime, and if you’ve got dry skin, you probably should too.
Packaged in a brushed glass bottle – you shake the serum up to combine the bi-phase formula, then simply pat a few squirts into skin. The serum has an ultra-lightweight consistency which feels super cooling, and almost watery to apply, so it won’t leave skin feeling clogged or overloaded. Instead it just feels refreshing and soothing. If you’re skin can get super dry or hot, I also love keeping the bottle in the fridge so that it’s a cold blast to apply. This leaves skin feeling incredibly soothed and taught – perfect if you’re dealing with a morning after!
The serum is perfect for young skin which just needs a little help in the moisture department. Not only is it non-greasy, but it soothes the skin whilst restructuring the Hydrolipidic film to protect against moisture loss. This means that fine lines caused by dehydration are smoothed and skin texture is improved. It’s perfect for creating the perfect summer-skin look, and to follow up, I use a little of the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream (review to come) to really lock in that moisture.
