When it comes to the queen of the neutral lip, I think the crown has to go to Bobbi Brown. She introduced the concept of makeup making you look like you, and her neutral palette of brown lipsticks pretty much made 90’s fashion, so I was seriously excited by the chance to try out one of the brand’s newest offerings.
For someone as lip-colour-averse as me, the Art Stick Liquid Lip is the perfect option. It promises lipstick-level colour and a glossy finish, and I have to say, I’ve been more than impressed! Packaged to look like one of the brand’s colour sticks (I reviewed a stunning pink one here), the tube is actually squeezy, which makes controlling the colour and amount of product you use an absolute cinch!
You can apply the minty-scented gloss straight from the tube if you’re after an opaque finish. Since I link a slightly more natural finish, I usually just press a little of the gloss into my lips to subtly stain them. I have to say though, I love this stuff so much! It’s such a fun product – and it’s making me want to try all the colours!
