Ok, so it’s not exactly a secret that I’m beauty-obsessed, but every so often a collection gets released, and I just have to get my hands on it. It doesn’t happen too regularly (thankfully, otherwise my wallet and storage couldn’t take it), but when I get obsessed with something, it becomes a bit of an issue.
I know that the Too Faced Sweet Peach range launched last year, and this is technically a re-release, but I don’t think I could love it any more if I tried. This is saying something since I really rarely wear peach-toned makeup, but all of that’s changed. When my parcel full of goodies arrived, it was absolutely killer not being able to slap it all on, and since I took my photos, there hasn’t been a day I’ve left the house not wearing at least a couple of pieces from the collection!
Within the whole Sweet Peach collection, I haven’t really seen much buzz about the Glow Palette, and honestly I have no idea why. It’s one of those palettes I know I’m going to use every day, and it’s all of the powders I wear on a daily basis: a glowy highlighter, a luminous peachy blush and a beautiful bronzer.
The colours are absolutely beautiful, and the powders have the most glorious formula. They’re silky smooth and buff flawlessly into skin, making it look radiant rather than cakey, an they feel seriously premium. Not only do they give the most fabulous finished result, but like the whole of the Sweet Peach collection, the powders smell like a candy store! Too Faced say it’s due to the inclusion of the ‘essence of Peach’ but whatever it is, I think it’s adorable.
The colours are absolute stunning, and really feel perfect for the better weather. I’ve been feeling a little ‘blah’ in my makeup regime, but this has injected a bit of much needed colour and shine, and the cute powders and adorable scent makes me smile every time I look at it. I’ve got a couple of nights away planned, and this means I don’t need to think about packaging a hundred powders to take away with me. All I need is this, a concealer, mascara and I’m good to go!
Working from left to right along the palette, the first powder you come across is the highlighter. Embossed with the peach emoji, it’s almost too pretty to use, but I couldn’t resist swiping the champagne pink across my cheekbones. Too Faced call the powder ‘satin finish,’ but there is some glitter in there. It’s not disco-level, and it’s very pretty, but it’s definitely there. I use this as a subtle highlight on my brow and cheek bones, and love the subtle glow it gives.
The biggest of the powders is the blush topper. Since I’m pretty fair skinned, and I don’t wear too much blush anyway, I use this instead of blush. It’s a stunning peach with a slight golden glow, and it basically looks like health in a bottle. Since my skin pulls quite pink anyway, a subtle dusting of this is all I need to perk up winter-dulled skin.
The last in the line up is the peach-embossed bronzer. In the pan I was worried it might skew a little too warm for me, but oh my god, it’s perfect. This gives a seriously natural glow which looks like you’ve been sunning yourself somewhere fabulous. If you’ve got a deeper skin tone, it might be a touch light to use as an all over bronzer, but I’m sure it would add a gorgeous warmth to all skins, and you might even be able to use it as a highlighter!
