As someone who has been obsessed with beauty from roughly the age I could walk, finding an entirely new product feels something like a revelation. I’ve been swiping on cleansers and toners for years now, but a beauty vinegar? That’s definitely something new!
Only it’s not – beauty vinegars have apparently been around for centuries, where ladies loved them for their skin-refining qualities. Even though they may have fallen out of favour, Roger & Gallet have gone about bringing them bang up to date with their Aura Mirabilis Beauty Vinegar. Packaged in a simple sleek tube, using the vinegar couldn’t be easier. I just shake the bottle, apply a few drops on some cotton and swipe over freshly cleansed skin.
The vinegar, somewhat surprisingly, smells incredible. It’s a fresh, faintly floral scent which feels very spa-like. It’s essentially a toner, so it manages to get rid of any product residue without leaving skin feeling tight or dried out. Instead, skin feels refreshed and super clean after using, and it makes the best base before applying moisturisers or oils.
Roger & Gallet Aura Mirabilis Beauty Vinegar is priced at £17 and is available here
