A few weeks back it was time to cash in my Harvey Nichols points (if you don’t have their loyalty app yet, you need to download it now), and rather than opt for my regular vouchers, I thought it would be fun to get Foreo Luna Play instead. I’ve been a little baffled by these silicon-y brushes ever since they launched, so I couldn’t resist a freebie!
The ‘Play’ is designed to be a smaller, more portable version of the original Luna. With silicon bristles which are said to be more hygienic than regular face and body brushes. The device promises glowing skin through sonic pulses and gentle exfoliation. It’s also, in a way, disposable. The battery lasts for around 100 uses, but isn’t rechargable. On an sustainable level, it’s pretty annoying – there is no way that this will be ‘done’ in 100 uses, but you have to chuck it out anyway. But apart from that, I’ve been impressed.
The play does feel quite hard when pressed on the skin, but when used with a foaming cleanser and lots of water, you can really see formulas froth and foam up, leaving skin feeling super clean without feeling stripped. The shape of the ‘Play’ is easy to use, and gets into awkward spots like around my nostrils easily. I’ve been using it pretty regularly since picking it up, and it’s a cute little addition to my regime. It also comes in a rainbow of colours which are all super cute!
