Over the past few months, I’ve made a point to do more exploring of Edinburgh’s West End. It’s a somewhat under-visited part of the city, despite boasting stunning Georgian architecture and a wealth of independent businesses, so, if you find yourself in Edinburgh, you really should visit!
The last time I was there I felt in need of a little pampering, so I headed across to Claire’s Beauty Salon for one of their fabulous Guinot Hydramermie Facial. A treatment to give skin hydration and get it in tip top condition for summer, it uses a series of Guinot products massaged into the skin using a series of rollers.
In addition to feeling absolutely heavenly, the rollers help with lymphatic drainage, as well as pushing the products deep into the layers of skin. This leaves you looking like de-puffed and well rested. While the products get to work, I was treated to an incredible neck and shoulder massage (exactly what I needed after sitting at a desk all week).
The morning I visited, it was cold and rainy, and honestly, I can’t imagine a better spot to hide out. The whole treatment lasted 75 minutes, and I positively floated out of the salon. I’m already planning my return trip!
