When it comes to fragrance, I can, admittedly be somewhat stuck in my ways. Anything Gardenia, Orange Blossom or citrus-y, I will pretty much be guaranteed to love it. So, when Rodin’s Olio Lusso 3 popped through the letterbox, I was a little scared it would be a bit outside my comfort zone. I shouldn’t have worried – 3 is a full-on grown up scent which feels perfect for autumn.
Packaged in the chicest of bottles, 3 is a fabulously grown-up fragrance. Described as a classic spicy geranium, with notes of jasmine grandiflora, ylang-ylang, and orris, it was inspired by founder Linda Rodin’s fragrances of the 1970s. For me, it’s a deeper, woodsier fragrance, which feels pitch perfect for autumn and winter. I only need a couple of spritzes to my wrists and necks to be beautifully fragranced all day. Unlike other strong fragrances, this one won’t enter the room before you do. It’s far more subtle – it stays close to you, and feels incredibly special to wear. The lasting power of 3 is impressive too – despite being an eau de toilette, it wears far more like an eau de parfum. Hours after applying it I can still smell it, and I’ve had several people ask me what I’m wear whilst out and about.
