When it comes to skincare, if it’s a Harvey Nichols’ exclusive, you know it’s going to be great. So, when an email popped through alerting me to one of their newest brands, Lucia Magnani, I was intrigued. It’s a brand I hadn’t previously come across, and it’s one which feels incredibly glamorous and grown up. A spa-inspired skincare brand from Italy, it’s incredibly high-end and using the mask feels more like a luxurious ritual than a regular treatment, and a bonus? It looks absolutely divine in the bathroom!
Due to an incredibly busy month, my skin hadn’t been looking it’s best. Late nights, early mornings and a whole lot of work had left my skin dry, dull and in need of a bit of r&r. So, it was the perfect point to try out the Retexturing Radiance Mask, which promises to make skin look bright and youthful.
I’ve been using the Retexturing Radiance Mask about twice a week, and the difference in my skin has been noticeable. After a thorough cleansing using a foaming product, I apply a light layer of the mask to still-damp skin. The mask has a rich, thick texture which smoothes on easily. Unlike a lot of the mud masks I’ve used, this smells divine, it’s got a pleasant, almost perfume-y scent, and it really makes it feel like I’m in a high-end spa.
Once the mask is on, it tingles slightly, and I tend to leave it for around half an hour to fully dry down. The mud is enriched with the antioxidants CoQ10, vitamin E and Alpha-Lipoic Acid, and it works to combat redness, as well as to reduce redness and clear up any breakouts. To remove it, I use a hot damp flannel, and follow up with a nourishing facial oil. It makes skin incredibly soft and smooth, and I always feel so bright and glowy after using the mask. It’s definitely an indulgent treat, but with results as good as these, I think it might be worth it!
Lucia Magnani Retexturing Radiance Mask is priced at £195 and is available here
