When La Prairie release a new product, it’s fair to say that I get excited. It’s a brand which truly perfects a product before it’s pushed out to the masses. Case in point? The new White Caviar Creme Extraordinaire, which took over five years to perfect. The result is a face cream which feels like a dream to apply and promises to fight the appearance of discolouration and age spots. It also brings light to the skin, and the result? Basically like a real-life Instagram filter – and who doesn’t want that?
For a cream this indulgent (and it really is a treat) the packaging is on-point. Not only does it look incredibly sleek, but I love the pump mechanism inside – flip open that lid, and you press down for a perfectly portioned pearl of cream which appears, as if from nowhere.
After cleansing I pat the cream into skin, and then apply makeup as normal. Applying both day and night gives skin a lit-from-within glow which is usually only available through a whole lot of healthy eating and exercise. Thanks to the La Prairie innovation team, who tested over 50,000 molecules they found what they are now celebrating as a big hit: Lumidose, the “extraordinary molecule of light.” It’s the secret ingredient which makes the cream give skin that glow and targets any dark spots yo might be battling.
