Glossier Haloscope – Moonstone

When it comes to summer makeup, I’m not sure that anything feels more relevant than a great highlighter. Glossy, bronzed skin just seems to scream summer glamour, so I’ve been searching out the best highlighters I can get my hands on.

When it comes to HG-worthy highlighters, I tend to be quite fussy. I hate that weird silvery shine some give you, and I’m not a fan of the ones which look almost metallic. Instead, I’ve been looking for something a whole lot more natural-looking. So of course, I headed over to Glossier, to see what they had to offer.

fullsizeoutput_1da5Available in a selection of three shades, Haloscope promises to give skin a ‘glow’ rather than traffic-stopping sheen, and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! I opted for Moonstone – a clear formula which works on all skin tones, and I’m not going to lie, I’m in love.

Packaged in the brand’s signature chic packaging, using Haloscope couldn’t be easier. After applying my foundation and bronzer as normal, I swipe the highlighter over my fingertips a few times to warm the formula up, then tap into cheek and brow bones. I then make sure to blend it all in, so skin is give a gentle radiance. I’ve tried applying straight from the tube, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. The formula is surprisingly dry, so it didn’t blend as seamlessly as it does once it’s warmed up a little. Using it on fingers though, it’s an absolutely beautiful product which makes skin look flawless. The effect lasts for around 5-6 hours, but it’s easy to apply when you’re out and about.

Glossier Haloscope Highlighter is priced at £18 and is available here.
