Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze Perfect Tan Bronzer – Coconut Tan Tastic

When the Marc Jacobs opened their new (and only Scottish) counter in Harvey Nichols, one of the products I was most excited to see was the O!Mega Coconut Perfect Tan Bronzer. It’s one of those products I’ve seen all over the internet, and no wonder. Slick packaging and a whole lot of product – it’s a recipe for success!

A part of the brand’s much loved Coconut line, the bronzer promises to be universally flattering, with a radiant matte finish. Since I’m a big dewy-skin, I was a bit nervous that this would be a full-on matte. I shouldn’t have worried. The powder is so finely milled that a single brushstroke gives skin a believable dose of warmth with a gorgeous satin finish.

If you can’t get your hands on the Coconut version, there’s a deeper shade (Tantric) which comes in a slick black compact. Since I’m both pale, and it’s now basically winter, I’m more than happy with Tan Tastic! It’s a great neutral shade, so it doesn’t leave skin looking too flushed or orange. Instead it gives a super-natural looking warmth, which looks like you’ve spent a day or two in the sun. To tie-in with the holiday feel, the bronzer is also delicately scented with coconut. It’s not overpowering, and once the powder is on your face the smell has disappeared, but it’s a fun little touch every time you open the compact.

After applying my foundation and concealer as normal, I use a fluffy bronzer brush to apply to my temples, cheek bones and chin. Even when I get a little heavy handed with my brush, it never gets streaky, patchy or too orange, and throughout the day it wears really well too. I’m also loving the sheer size of the product. Yes, it’s pricey for a bronzer – Benefit’s and Urban Decay’s offerings both hit the twenties price point, but this thing is huge. In fact, the only negative I can think of is that it’s actually too big to pop into a makeup bag for touch ups.

Marc Jacobs O!Mega Coconut Perfect Tan Bronze is priced at £35 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
