When it comes to sleep-overs and girls’ nights in, I feel like it’s not something I’ve done since uni, so when Edinburgh’s Old Town Chambers invited me, along with a whole host of other Scottish bloggers to visit their Penthouse for a glam, girls’ night in, I couldn’t wait!
Nestled in the heart of the Capital’s Old Town, the Old Town Chambers is one of Edinburgh’s premier hotels – it’s regularly ranked within TripAdvisor’s top choices for the city, and it could not be more central for seeing all of the historic sights. Shown up to the Penthouse, we also got to witness the incredible views down to Princes Street – with sites like Scottish National Gallery and the Scott Monument all lit up for the evening.
Unlike a regular hotel, Old Town Chambers offer the most stunning hotel-apartments. They’re perfect for travellers who want a little more space to relax and unwind. Whether you’re in Edinburgh for business or family travel, staying at Old Town Chambers means you’re not curtailed to a single bedroom – all the suites come with a fully equipped kitchen and jaw-dropping bathrooms. The Penthouse we visited had three stunning bedrooms, all of which served up some serious interiors inspo!
After a glass (or two) of bubbles, we found out what our evening held for us – celebrity chef Jimmy Lee was demoing his Singapore Noodles in the Penthouse’s kitchen, whilst the GBBO’s Tom was going to hold a masterclass on cake decorating.
Not a bad way to spend a rainy evening – between the glamorous setting and demonstrations – everyone was had an absolute ball. Did I mention there was was also Breakfast at Tiffany’s on too?!
After learning the best ways to prepare and decorate cakes Bake Off style (hint, in real life keep things simple, stay prepared, and worse case – shop bought jams and curds are fine) it was time to head back out in the rain.
Thank you so much Old Town Chambers for having me!
