When it comes to getting my summer glow on, my must-have product is always a killer bronzer. Naturally I’m pretty fair, I take a good 10 days to develop any sort of tan, and I’m so scared of sun damage, I’ve not sunbathed in nigh-on a decade. So, as you might imagine, a good bronzer is a very prized member of my makeup bag.
When I attended the Boots launch of Fenty Beauty a few weeks back, I couldn’t resist picking up one of the Sun Stalk’r bronzers. A chic mirrored compact, available in eight shades which run the gamut from tan to dark, so, as you’d expect from the brand, most skin tones are going to be able to find their perfect bronze.
I picked up Private Island, which in all honesty, is probably a touch dark for me at the moment. A warm-toned bronze, there’s no shimmer which will leave you looking like a glitter ball, instead it’s completely matte, so the colour it gives looks surprisingly believable.
Since it’s a bit deeper than my normal bronzer, I’ve been using a light hand when it comes to the Fenty offering. the formula itself is super soft, and can feel almost creamy when you swatch it with a finger. The result is that it buffs beautifully into skin, leaving a natural looking glow behind. It’s not a cakey or heavy-looking powder – it disappears into skin, making it look absolutely flawless.
The wear-time of the Sun Stalk’r powders is seriously impressive – I look the same at the end of the day as I did when I applied it. It leaves skin with a pretty satin finish, and it cuts down on unwanted shine, so you’re left looking glowy rather than greasy.
