There’s something about summer beauty which has me feeling all efficient. There’s nothing I love more than fitting all my beauty bits in a singular bag, although that’s become far less of an accomplishment, now that I’ve got my hands on Misslyn’s Travel Kit in Globetrotter.
Available in two colour ways, the Travel Kit makes up about half of all the makeup you really need to take on holiday – blush, highlighter, bronzer and fixing powder – there’s even a good sized mirror in there, so you can fix your face on the go!
The selection of colours the Globetrotter palette feels seriously premium – I’m getting Nars’ Orgasm vibes from the mix of bronzer and blush shades. The warm-toned trio is perfect for enhancing a summer tan too!
I’ve never tried facial powders from Misslyn before, and I have to say – I’m seriously impressed. After applying a quick slick of Skin Tint (review here) I brush the bronzer all over the high points of my face. The bronzer is nicely matte, with a silky texture – so it smoothes onto skin beautifully.
A touch of the blusher is perfect for waking my complexion up on early mornings, and the highlighter gives skin a lovely sheen rather than a full-on metallic shine. The effect of all three products is a natural, healthy glow. It’s exactly what you need for a summer beauty look, and I love the fact that I can just tuck it into my makeup bag for easy touchups.
The last product in the lineup, which has its own little compartment is the finishing powder – completely translucent and perfect for combatting hot-weather shine. It’s perfect to use on areas like my nose and forehead which can become a little too shiny in warm weather.
