When it comes to makeup, for me, it’s usually the cooler tones the better. I don’t think I’ve seen a taupe I didn’t love, but sometimes it’s fun to stray outside your comfort zone. I absolutely fell in love with the Huda Beauty palettes when I visited the brand’s new Harvey Nichols counter, and was thrilled to find the Rose Gold Remastered Palette in my goodie bag once I got home.
Packaged with Huda Beauty’s signature glam flourish, the Rose Gold Remastered Palette is perfect if you’re looking for something to amp up your look for the end of summer. Described as 2018’s Best Eyeshadow Palette by Allure Magazine, it’s a surprisingly versatile, with shades which range from sheer nude all the way through to rich magentas and even a rich burgundy red.
For someone as colour-phobic as me, Huda Beauty’s Rose Gold Reloaded is the perfect entry into a coloured eye look. On days when I’m feeling a little more adventurous than usual, incorporating a pink or even orange buffed into the crease looks gorgeous, and for evenings, I love to pat a little of the metallic colours onto the lid for a real injection of glam!
I’ve become a real fan of injecting the pink shades into my daily makeup – for day, demure buffed over the lid is gorgeous. It brings a bit of colour, without feeling too obvious. I’ve been saving the foil formulas for evening, as they really look their best in low light. Bubbly is a real standout – used alongside Suede, the combo feels beautifully elegant. For evenings when I want something a little more fun – Doll Face or Risque buffed into the crease, with Demure on the lid is gorgeous.
The formulations of the shadows is universally impressive. Buttery soft, with great colour payoff, they can be buffed into soft clouds of colour, or built up for a more intense feel. Black Truffle can also be used wet if you’re looking for a sharp, dramatic look, or used dry for a sexy, smoky feel.
Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette is priced £56 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
